to-the-point Brazil extends reg deadline for wind solar auction

June 12 – The Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy announced on Friday it has pushed back to July 10 the registration deadline for the wind and solar auction that will be held on November 13.
This will be Brazil’s second reserve energy auction of the year. Supply under the 20-year contracts that will be awarded will start on November 1, 2018.
Earlier this month, state-owned energy firm Empresa de Pesquisa Energetica (EPE) accredited 382 solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, or a combined 12,528 MWp, for the first reserve energy auction this year, set for August 14.
