May 19 – Five solar farms with a combined capacity of about 1.1 MW will be installed in Egypt’s Dakahlia Governorate by the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOL).
The the Amwal Al Ghad magazine said Saturday the Egypt-based Arab military organisation will first build a 1-MW photovoltaic (PV) power station in Gamasa. It will use panels made by AOI. That system requires an investment of EGP 12 million (USD 1.57m/EUR 1.4m), according to the report.
AOI will also install four small solar systems, each of between 21 kW and 36 kW, for a combined cost of EGP 1.8 million.
