a better crank dynamo,
It generates 120 volt DC, not AC. Only works with usb chargers and some aa battery chargers. it cannot charge a netbook computer. it can charge an android tablet, also smartphones. not able to power 13w compact flourescent bulbs. it can dimly light a standard incandecent bulb.
After rotating crank, a 120 volt charge remains stored at the outlet. don’t touch prongs of cord partially inserted. it can shock. it has a mini dynamo, like vcr head motor. this charge is stored in capacitor up to 12 volts then boosted up to 120 volt DC and stored in the outlet terminal capacitor.
Best charging method is go faster until no more drag and easier cranking. otherwise slow cranking causes undervoltage to ouput device.
It is noisy cranking.
