It uses 4 stage charging to give the most possible power from solar modules.This regulator has a digital display and will show choices of battery voltage, amperage or battery charge percentage. The GP-PWM-25 is capable of handling up to 395 watts of solar. It has an equilize charge feature to keep the wet cell batteries a longer life.
